The last 3 weeks, until I got my deserved vacation break.

Bought the popular Band Of Brothers dvdbox for my brother, but I secretly liked it too hihhi.

Going to start watching True Blood really soon.

My ZQ crushing is continuing to be quite unfortunate and just a little too ridiculous. And embarrassing. To be honest, I'm far more into the Pine/Quinto aspect of the nuTrek fandom than the actual Trek stuff. I'm still planning on seeing ST again in theatres--I have a student discount, it's too good to pass up! eta: Dudes, they got rid of the discount! What kind of fuckery is this?! I don't want to see that nonsense Terminator or Transformers films or stupid Swedish mysteries! Darnit.

I was actually at the movies yesterday with Lilly and Chris, saw "The Hangover." It was entertaining in a mindless sort of way, I still enjoyed the heck out of it, if only because of the actual cinema experience. And Bradley Cooper was incredibly smokin', especially in the all black suit. I wish more stuff had been going on, but I'm mostly cooped up, watching tv and movies. I like it that way, especially when the weather is sweltering as it has been. I don't know why I always wanted to live in LA (this is an old meme, don't get me started on explaining) when I clearly cannot handle heat that well...A revision of plans is necessary.

Most of these have been sitting around on my harddrive for months in my "current batch" folder, so I figured I'd just post them and move onto a new batch.

+ I want to complain about what a shitty day I've had, but two of the worst things of the day I can't post about because I don't want to make my entire flist throw up. But yeah, not a good day. I shall talk about happier things instead.

+ Question for GK people - in this scene, from episode one, who is that in the seat next to Gunny? It's Fick's seat, and it is him, isn't it? I'm hoping it is, seeing as he's singing, and I rather love the idea that Fick joined in the singing.

+ One Bullet Away is a wonderful surprise. I expected it to be insightful, but I didn't expect it to be so readable. Plus it's fun seeing the first mention of familiar names: Rudy running work out sessions that Fick goes to cracked me up. It's just a beautiful image!

Of the pleasing: I woke up this morning to find eight little snippets of Brad/Nate scrawled on the paper I keep on my bedside cabinet. Not great for my sleeping habits, but I do love it when I get so many ideas I'm writing half in my sleep!
